So why do we need to do on page SEO?

why do we need to do on-page SEO?
The simple answer to this question is that it is the easiest way to rank higher on google or any other search engine. On-page optimization is one of the most important factors in google algorithm. Of course on page optimization alone cannot do the wonder of getting to the 1st place on google search engine. But without doing the on page SEO you cannot expect your site to rank on the first page of google search engine for any comparative keyword.
The methods that I am going to share with you in this post are already proven.  Just read the whole post thoroughly. after reading this post you will have a clear grasp on the on-page optimization.
The best thing is that It’s actually very easy

You will be glad to know writing an optimized article for your website or blog is actually very easy.  I see a lot of people spend much time to find the best title for their articles. Yes, you need to do some keyword research but if you have the basic idea of how to do keyword research for SEO It becomes very easy. Do the keyword research and chose at least 10 to 20 keyword and make one of them your main keyword?

1.H1 tags for on-page SEO

on-page seo tips h1 tag
always try to use the exact keyword that you have chosen in the title for your article. Remember in WordPress title of your article are used as the H1 tag. When a search engine looks at your title which is your H1 tag, it assumes what your entire article is all about. When your H1 tag matches an exact keyword phrase the chances are that you will rank for that keyword faster. Think about it. We are much inclined to click on an article when the title of that article matches our search query.

2.The Permalink on-page SEO tips

after you decide which will be your keyword and use that keyword for your article title you need to make sure that your permalink is matched with your keyword. when you type something in your article title in WordPress you will see the permalink is automatically created with the title. in case, it does not match with your article you have to edit it manually and make sure that the permalink matches to your post or page title
When google will find out that the title and the permalink consist of the same phrase or words, it will bump your ranking up for that keyword or phrase.

3.H2&H3 tag

after H1 tag search engine will look for H2 & H3. So we need to edit H2 tag. click on the formatting drop-down menu as in the picture shown below. You can find h2 and h3 tag here. In case, you don’t find this formatting drop-down menu click on the icon that says toolbar toggle.
use the main keywords with some additional phrase or word on H2 and H3 tag. For example, if “how to make money” is your main keyword you can infuse phrase like “how to make money by blogging”, “how to make money without spending any” . the idea is to expand the main keyword and use it on H2 and H3 tag.

4.First paragraph for on-page SEO

the next thing that I am going to share with you is the first paragraph of your article. Your main keyword should naturally appear in the first paragraph of your article. I would advise you to use your main keyword as a question or as a statement. for example, if SEO is your main keyword
1) “are you looking for SEO tips we have got you covered
2) “ get SEO tips for free here.”

Make sure that you use the main keyword phrase as bold, italic or underline. Search engines will acknowledge this keyword as important and give you extra credit for this keyword.
It’s not a difficult thing to make a meaningful sentence using any phrase or keyword. keep in mind the sentence should be meaningful and make sense. Don’t just stuff your keyword on the paragraph. google will penalize your site if it sees  unnatural things like that. Also, remember user experience is something that Google consider mostly now a days. If visitors come to your site and within some seconds bounce out from your site, Google will think that your article is not relevant and it will hamper your ranking.
So try to give some value and useful information to your audience. That should be the first priority.

5.What about Keyword density?

let me be very clear with you a lot of SEO guy will tell you about a specific percentage of keywords should be present in your article. I have found that even some big SEO companies also believe in this theory.
The reality is that this kind of specific percentage would have worked 5 years back from now. But it is surely not a valid strategy today. there is no specific hard and fast rule of keyword percentage in your article that you should follow blindly.

8.Does word counts really matters in on page SEO?

Yes, it does, don’t expect to rank on the first page of google with only a 300 words article. Try to expand your article as much as possible. Google loves long original content. That does not mean that you should include non-relevant and boring information. Try to make your article more interesting by giving your audience value. I would say minimum 700 words article is a must. If you can write a 1000 words article even better. This article I am writing is about 1500 words long. The more you write the better. 9.Interlinking to your other post

Although interlinking to your other articles is considered as onsite SEO but still I prefer to share this method in On-page SEO. Within your article try to link other valuable articles of your blog obviously related to the post. That will keep the audience on your blog for more time and read more blog post. As I mentioned earlier the more the audience will spend time in your blog the higher Google will rank you.

10.Linking to another website

Your article should have some link pointing to other authority sites. This will help your blog readers find out more value and relevant information. Remember always give a link to a good quality website not just any site.

11.Story about meta tag

Finally, I would suggest you to edit your meta tags and description. Write a short summary of your blog post using the main keyword in your meta description. Remember the first thing in a search engine that the visitors see is the name of the website the URL and the Meta description. A good meta description always increases the click through rate.
